Advantage Business Group was created in February 2001 by a Management Buy Out of the consulting and IT activities of TA Group Limited from the Fluor Corporation. This acquisition took place with the full support of Fluor, who recognised that we would be better able to serve our customers and develop our capability as an independent company. |

RTP was formed as an independent partnership in 1974, and specialised in asset reliability and safety in the defence, transport and nuclear industries. |

Both RTP & Technical Audit Ltd played a leading role in the development of key technologies in reliability and asset performance improvement, contributing to the creation of seminal UK and international standards in these fields. |

Technical Audit Ltd originated from within British Steel in 1983, and specialised in physical asset management and performance improvement, mainly in the industrial sector. |

TA Group itself was originally created in 1991 by the merging of Rex, Thompson and Partners and Technical Audit Limited. This combined the strong technical and analytical capabilities of RTP with the industrial and management capabilities of TA Limited. |

TA Group was part of Fluor from 1995 to the end of 2000. Joint activity is expected to continue in several sectors, building on successful collaborative work, particularly in major Rail projects in the UK and Europe. |
